Pros: 100% modular and over 90% power efficient. Also totally silent. 1000 watts is plenty of power for my new rig. See other thoughts but when you buy EVGA you are buying happiness. =D Cons: This power supply was not DOA but literally exploded after 7 hours of use. Sounded like a capacitor. RMA process was the best I could ever have expected. Overall Review: Alright, so this power supply only worked for 7 hours of driver installs, steam downloads, and windows update restarts. During a boot up after a restart, I was sitting there with my dog and all of a sudden POP! a capacitor exploded. Loud as heck haha. Anyhow… I dont believe it fried anything. Here is what everyone reading this should take away from my opinion and rating. There was a small recall of this product due to a number of units not receiving enough thermal padding. My unit was just outside the selection of defective products but when i contacted EVGA via the phone i got a knowledgeable and helpful guy looking to have a helpful conversation… not a customer relations rant. He told me step by step where i could monitor the Advanced RMA he set up for me and how, at NO cost to me, they would send me a new product right away with 3 day select shipping complete with a return shipping label for the defective PSU. He also told me that if i wanted they could send it without the accessories so that the cords connected through my rig could remain and we only replace the PSU itself. I thanked him, wished him a happy Christmas and went to the sight to check i was gettign what he proposed. Sure enough everything was as he said and I am a very happy customer awaiting the new PSU. Trust these guys. They will do good by you and make quality products that they verify even at expense to them. Pros: And that audience is gamers and system enthusiasts who don’t have time to put up with sub par components. This is one of the best full featured, fully modular power supplies on the market and is based on Super Flower’s amazing Leadex G2 platform. EVGA has included everything but the kitchen sink on this one – including a nylon bag for the supply itself and another nylon case for the extra cables you won’t be using. On full loads this supply will handle equivalent to a single GTX 780TI, or dual GTX 760s (which I will be planning on using). Or it will also handle a single R9 290X. This is one of the most solid power supplies on the market that you can buy – everything about this supply is quality and it definitely will not disappoint. EVGA includes everything but the kitchen sink – even a dongle that can be used with PSU testing equipment, though you most likely won’t need to use it. Cons: For the price of this unit it should include a USB connection and software to control all aspects of the PSU, similar to the Corsair AXi series, but power supplies of this quality you can definitely look the other way on it. Overall Review: The rest of my rig (upgraded from a 4 year old 990FX-based system) : – Fractal Design Define R4 Blackout Edition – EVGA Supernova G2 – Asrock Z97 Extreme 6 – Intel Core i5-4670K – 16GB Corsair XMS3 RAM – Samsung 840 Evo – Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB – Plextor BD-R Drive – EVGA Geforce GTX 760 Superclocked Edition

Pros: Free Ship Discount Item Rebate Newegg Plenty O Power Fully Modular. It makes a difference Loooong Warranty Cons: I don’t need fancy bags Overall Review: Power supplies are hard to review. All I want is stable quiet power and I have to trust the guys that have the tools to quantify stability. The PSU is quiet. It has great reviews and EVGA as a vendor is very well thought of. I like the velcro ties. Hadn’t seen this type before. I can snub them tight.

Pros: TL;DR: Biggest advantage over the 1600w G2 is the inclusion of ECO mode, which allows for slient operation at “low loads,” which in my case is 3 GPUs and an OC’d i7! This is a great PSU with excellent build quality, top-of-the-line components, thick gauge cables and high end design. Of course, that’s all to be expected from an EVGA Product at this price point. Knowing EVGA, I figured this was going to be a rock-solid product even before I ordered it. I honestly had no doubts that this would be a good performer; my only question was regarding what I was actually getting by ordering this PSU instead of the (slightly) cheaper 1600w Gold version. Happily, I found one big difference that is really important to me: silence. In addition to the slightly more efficient rating (but honestly who really cares about the extra few % points there? My electricity isn’t expensive enough for me to notice a difference), the 1600w P2 is equipped with EVGA’s “ECO Mode.” EVGA’s website does a really poor job marketing this feature, as it’s hard to find out exactly what it is and which products actually have it. When ECO mode is activated (by flipping a switch on the back of the PSU), the fan won’t spin up at lower loads. This is actually a huge benefit because the fan is actually pretty loud when it spins. Also, because this thing provides such a massive amount of power, “low load” is actually a TON of power. In fact, I’ve never actually heard the fan come on when ECO mode was enabled, even when my system is at full load. And that’s saying something because my system consists of: – 3 overclocked GTX 780ti – Overclocked i7 4770k – 6 Gentle Typhoon fans running at full speed. Did you get that? This thing considers 3 overclocked GPUs and an overclocked i7 a LOW load and is completely silent! That impresses me! Even if I decide not to add another GPU and a more power hungry processor, I will keep this PSU just for its ability to provide so much power silently. Cons: -BIG. It’s 9″ long – ECO mode switch is located on the inner side of the PSU. Would have been nice to access the switch after installation. Overall Review: Well worth the cost if you value efficiency, power and SILENCE

Pros: Plenty of power, fully modular, quiet, energy efficient, 10 year warranty. There’s plenty of room for expansion with two CPU outputs and enough power for three video cards. Cons: The price is a little high but you get what you pay for. Overall Review: My build doesn’t use a huge amount of power, I was more looking for the energy efficiency. It is great knowing that this is a solid product that can push much more hardware if needed.

Pros: Bought it because of its reliability and build quality, so far it’s proven to be that, and even though you can’t see clearly on the picture, the texture of this PSU is nice, the look is a plus and this won’t disappoint, looks as if it repels dust but I’m also glad the grille is not so plain either. Cons: NONE Overall Review: For the price, you can’t go wrong with this unit, there might be other units but in the price range this was my 1st choice, my 2nd is definitely Corsair’s new line, the RX is just a notch, a tiny little notch better than this eVGA.

Pros: The best warrantyThe best deal with rebate.Rock solid power from solid companyWell reviewed around the web.Can purchase custom sleeved colored power cables Power supply has Powered my Rampage V extreme now 24hours a day for 1 year without issues. Cons: I cannot remove my previous negative reviewI am posting this to correct MY error.Thomas D. Overall Review: I actually Called NewEgg on the phone and spoke with someone who said they would remove my previous negative review. They did NOT.It turns out my previous negative review may be based on a coincidence. For whatever reason my system had become unstable after installing this power supply. It turns out suddenly my PCI express x8 NIC Option ROM suddenly clashed with the UEFI Intel RAID Option ROM. I moved the NIC and turned off it’s Boot ROM and all is well now. All I did was swap power supplies and my Intel Mobo RAID was intermittent and disappeared from the UEFI boot list. Pros: Very high quality cables Eco mode allows running without fan, reduce dust and noise Seems stable Beautiful looking unit Cons: My pci nvme card doesnt boot with this PSU, but my backup PSU had no problems with the card Eco mode doesnt turn on the fan when computer is running, but strangely runs the fan when the computer is “off” or in standby Cables are excessively thick, especially at the end where it needs flexibility to connect to the motherboard to reduce stress on the connection point

Pros: – Stable safe power -Handles my 7820x and 1080 TI no problem haven’t even seen the fan come on yet – Quiet of course if there is no fan running haha ( Haven’t actually not had it out of ECO mode ) Cons: – Like others have stated the cables are thick. ( I used cable extensions so this didn’t cause any issues with me. – The wires although are black aren’t sleeved all the way down there is about 1-2 inches of wires exposed. They are black though – ECO mode switch is on the inside and you really cant get to it after the cables are installed and it is put inside my case ( phanteks Evolv TG ) Overall Review: – Good power supply overall. I don’t see the need to dock an egg for any of the cons listed.

Pros: Everything! Comes with every cable one could think of. Hell, there’s one in there I have no clue what it’s for but, I have it! Fan is super quiet. Fits comfortably in my new case. (Rosewill-Cullinan MX) More than enough power for what’s actually in there, but I always like to have more than I need. One day I may get the urge to do a 3 way SLI setup, as this mobo is capable. Last but not least, a 10 YEAR WARRANTY!!! Cons: NONE!! Overall Review: I’ve worked with full modular PSU’s before, but this one is for my personal build. So I’m very pleased to say the least.

Pros: -Fully modular (including the 20+4 pin ATX motherboard cable) -Very quiet -Beautifully designed without being plastered with “GAMER™ GAM3R™ UBER™ L337™ FPS™ FORT-BROS™ GAMER JUICE™™™™™™!!!™” -Exceptional power output -Every cable you want, doubled, and some you don’t. (seriously it includes a molex to FDD cable!) -10 year warranty (All but the most expensive Corsair PSU’s only have 3 year warranties) -Price. The price to performance on EVGA power supplies can’t be beat. Cons: I am not 100% sure on this but I believe the fan is always constantly running. Even at loads of around 100w my fan still runs. Granted it is an extremely quiet fan and you would struggle to hear it even in the quietest of rooms. If you are strictly looking for something absolutely silent you unfortunately will have to look elsewhere. Overall Review: I bought this to replace a Corsair CS750M that completely died (while in use) just after the (3 year) warranty ran out. With the sale this was on and the mail-in-rebate the total price came to just $80.00!!! That is a steal for this quality. Below are the readings I took while my pc was under full load. Keep in mind this is while running an AMD FX-8350 8 core processor overclocked to 5.0 GHz (stock is 4.0-4.2 GHz). +12v = 11.995v +5v = 4.993v +3.3v = 3.240v As well as my processor VCore being set to 1.525v it never even budged under 100% load These recorded readings were all taken at 100% load with a total power draw from the wall of nearly 500 watts! (480w-490+w average) Long story short for $80 total I am extremely impressed and so long as this PSU doesn’t die in the next few years EVGA will have won me over as a customer for life. I have no faith in Corsair products any more (not that they EVER proved to be worth even half what they charge) and by the looks of it EVGA will be taking that place. If you need a bangin’ 850w PSU with top of the line, super clean power output and a top of the line warranty stop shopping right now because you have found what you are looking for!

Pros: Quiet, modular, 80+ Gold, on sale frequently, 10 year warranty. Cons: Probably more juice than you will need for many system configurations (Not really a con at all). Overall Review: A solid power supply. It is currently powering my 1920x Threadripper system with a GTX 1080TI gpu and a GTX 980 gpu and 32 gigs of ram. I could easily replace the GTX 980 with another GTX 1080TI and add another 32GB ram and still have power to spare. This p.s. will probably be perfect for the majority of system builders. 13. Easiest Decision Made

Pros: -Every connection and cable is clearly wired. -Great reliability. -Extremely lightweight model without power loss. -Triple SATA 3 connectors spaced decently for the multiple drives. -Great option for cable management and power consumption. Cons: My only complaints would be specific to my situation, and still this works better in every way compared to the all the other competitors and options I reviewed. Overall Review: I waited 3 months to review in case EVGA’s quality had gone down, not one sign of that from what I have seen. I bought this because I am upgrading an old computer and building a new one. The old EVGA 750W power supply is still running after 14 years, but I wanted to run more on the new one, so I kept it for the old one. Selectable cables is definitely an improvement. I love that the cables are clearly labeled so no mistakes could be made. I don’t understand how this power supply is only 5 lbs and just affordable and powerful as all the other options. Quiet, easy fit, easy install. Power cord is a decent length. I am glad it can’t accidentally send 220/240V through. Perfect for a beginner, and for future upgrades on a high end system and was affordable. I don’t think I will need another for another 15 years at least. The power supply and motherboard are the only components I didn’t have to second guess.

Pros: None Cons: Power delivery and horrible whining noise Overall Review: I built watercooled PC so that I may enjoy low noise levels and good temps. This unit proved to be very troublesome in that regard. I’ve just replaced it with a different unit and now my PC is quiet and my GPU even runs cooler and the power seems to jump around a lot less. I thought for months that this was GPU coil whine and that I would have to live with it. I did and sound test to try and pinpoint the issue and there was no question that it was coming from the PSU. Step up your game EVGA this unit was very expensive.
